What are you waiting for?

Are you someone who has been circling the 'GO' button on going down the VA path, but just can't quite seem to take the leap?

You’ve read all the stories and done endless Google searches.

You’ve watched countless videos and listened to podcasts ad nauseum.

You’ve joined online VA communities to ‘get a feel’ for it.

You might have even spoken to real-life VAs about their experiences.

YOU KNOW IT WORKS.

So, what’s REALLY holding you back?

I speak to loads of people who know how much better their lives could be if they took the leap and turned their existing skills into a VA business where they gained more flexibility and freedom, but what they all have in common is that every single one of them has a level of fear that threatens to hold them back.

The difference between you and established VAs is that they pushed through their personal roadblocks and did it anyway.

So what’s your fear?

Here’s the top 4 roadblocks that stop people just like you from taking the first step into the VA world:

WHAT IF I FAIL?

The thing is, starting up your own VA business is about as low risk as you can get. You HAVE all the equipment already (your laptop / desktop computer, your phone, and internet connection). There are very minimal overheads, and you don’t have to quit your ‘day’ job to get started. The question you need to be asking yourself is “What if I succeed?”, because with well over 700 VA businesses that have got their start using a VA Institute program, we see success every single day.

DO I HAVE THE RIGHT SKILLS?

You have YOUR admin-based skills… the things you are good at and love doing. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you have to do what everyone else does. As a wise man once said “you do you… I’ll worry about me”. The VA industry is a veritable patchwork quilt of different service offerings: from Virtual Reception to General Administration, from Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant, right through to Online Business Management, Website and Creative Services, Social Media, Tech and IT. You absolutely CANNOT DO IT ALL (nor should you). Focus on your areas of expertise and get started. There is plenty of work out there for everyone!

I DON’T KNOW ALL THE TECH so HOW CAN I BE A VA?

Nobody can ever know all the latest and greatest tech and IT. But, we can learn… and there are plenty of free resources out there to guide you. Tech and IT has come a long way since coding days. It has to be user friendly to be successfully adopted because it’s used by ‘mum and dad’ business owners who are often not tech savvy. And, on top of that, we can take you through the most popular tech for VAs (most of it free), and it will save you stressing about what you should be learning. The majority of new VAs have more than enough foundational knowledge to get started, and the rest they can learn along the way.

I AM HOPELESS AT ‘SELLING’ MYSELF so HOW WILL I EVER FIND CLIENTS?

This is probably one of the biggest fears, but it’s also one the biggest misconceptions about running your VA business. You absolutely DO NOT need to be a salesperson in order to build a successful VA business. You simply need to be able to open your mouth and talk… it’s really that simple. We have some very effective strategies that will help you get your head around how to find clients, and none of those strategies involve cold-calling or hard-selling. And, let’s be real here; the majority of VAs only need around 3 to 4 clients to be at capacity – so it’s not like you have to conquer the universe either!

If you're looking for a sign, then maybe this is it.

If you're looking for support to take that first step, we know the way and have your back!
